Torbay Folk Arts Council is very pleased to present our 2026 Cultural Ambassadors
Connor Hynes plays fiddle and bouzouki, sings and is our main sound technician. He is currently in his fourth year at MUN in the Music Program. This is Connors 4th year as one of our cultural ambassadors
Charla Woodford, known professionally as Charla Marie, is an accomplished singer songwriter, and is in her second year in the music program at College of the North Atlantic. Charla has been performing since a young age and this is her second year as a cultural ambassador with Torbay Folk Arts Council
Jorja Smith is the newest addition to the Torbay Folk Arts Council family. Jorja is an accomplished piano player, guitarist and singer who has performed many times around the Northeast Avalon area. Hailing from Pouch Cove, she has just completed high school, yet she also teaches music at a local music school.
